The Community Conference For Community Health
Just A Few Words
Built by the Community. For the Community.
The My City My Health Conference isn’t a typical health event. There are no lectures you have to sit through. No panels talking over your head. This is a space built for the community — by the community — where real conversations happen about housing, economic stability, mental health, access to care, and everything in between.
Come ready to learn. Come ready to connect. Come ready to move the city forward.

Voices Worth Hearing.
Every speaker at the My City My Health Conference is chosen for one reason: they have something real to say to real people. Our lineup is a mix of community leaders, public health practitioners, advocates, and lived-experience storytellers — the people closest to the work and the ones who know what communities actually need to hear.

A Few Words
About The Event Organizer
The My City My Health Conference was created out of a simple but powerful belief: the people who live in a community are the most important voices in conversations about that community’s health.
We started this conference in Des Moines because we saw a gap — not in health programs, not in policy, but in space. Space for real people to sit down together, hear from local leaders and experts, discover resources they didn’t know existed, and leave with something they can actually use.
This is not a medical conference. You don’t need a degree or a title to belong here. The My City My Health Conference is designed for residents, advocates, community health workers, nonprofit partners, faith community leaders, parents, neighbors — anyone who cares about the health and wellbeing of the people around them.
Expect honest conversations. Expect real resources. Expect to leave connected to people and organizations that can help you and your community thrive.
“We are a community on a mission. This conference is where the mission shows up in person.”
Put Your Organization Where the Community Is.
Sponsoring the My City My Health Conference connects your organization directly to the community members, advocates, and leaders who are shaping the health of Des Moines. This isn’t a transactional sponsorship — it’s a partnership built around shared values and shared impact.
Our attendees are community-rooted. They trust the organizations that show up here. That’s what your sponsorship buys: real trust, real presence, in a room full of people who care.

Save Your Seat. Join the Mission.
The My City My Health Conference is a community event — which means space is intentionally limited. We keep it that way so every person in the room has a real experience, not a convention center shuffle. Register early and lock in your spot.
